King James BibleNET Bible
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;1For the music director; a psalm of David. May the LORD answer you when you are in trouble; may the God of Jacob make you secure!
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;2May he send you help from his temple; from Zion may he give you support!
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.3May he take notice of your offerings; may he accept your burnt sacrifice! (Selah)
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.4May he grant your heart's desire; may he bring all your plans to pass!
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.5Then we will shout for joy over your victory; we will rejoice in the name of our God! May the LORD grant all your requests!
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.6Now I am sure that the LORD will deliver his chosen king; he will intervene for him from his holy heavenly temple, and display his mighty ability to deliver.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.7Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the LORD our God.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.8They will fall down, but we will stand firm.
Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.9The LORD will deliver the king; he will answer us when we call to him for help!
