Psalm 84
KJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleInternational Standard Version
To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!1How lovely are your dwelling places, LORD of the Heavenly Armies.
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.2I desire and long for the Temple courts of the LORD. My heart and body sing for joy to the living God.
Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.3Even the sparrow found a house for herself and the swallow a nest to lay her young at your altar, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, my king and God.
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.4How happy are those who live in your Temple, for they can praise you continuously. Interlude
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.5How happy are those whose strength is in you, whose heart is on your path.
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.6They will pass through the Baca Valley where he will prepare a spring for them; even the early rain will cover it with blessings.
They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.7They will walk from strength to strength; each will appear before God in Zion.
O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.8LORD God of the Heavenly Armies, hear my prayer! Listen, God of Jacob! Interlude
Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.9God, look at our shield, and show favor to your anointed,
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.10for a day in your Temple courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather stand at the entrance of God's house than live in the tent of wickedness.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.11For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD grants grace and favor; the LORD will not withhold any good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.12LORD of Heavenly Armies, how happy are those who trust in you.
