Psalm 50

A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.1A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, has spoken, And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.3May our God come and not keep silence; Fire devours before Him, And it is very tempestuous around Him.
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.4He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people:
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.5"Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.6And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.7"Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you; I am God, your God.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.8"I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.9"I shall take no young bull out of your house Nor male goats out of your folds.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.10"For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.11"I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.12"If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the world is Mine, and all it contains.
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?13"Shall I eat the flesh of bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:14"Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.15Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me."
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?16But to the wicked God says, "What right have you to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth?
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.17"For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.18"When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, And you associate with adulterers.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.19"You let your mouth loose in evil And your tongue frames deceit.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.20"You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother's son.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.21"These things you have done and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.22"Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.23"He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God."
