Psalm 75
KJV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
1To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.1For the choir director; set to Al-tashheth. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks, For Your name is near; Men declare Your wondrous works.
2When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.2"When I select an appointed time, It is I who judge with equity.
3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.3"The earth and all who dwell in it melt; It is I who have firmly set its pillars. Selah.
4I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:4"I said to the boastful, 'Do not boast,' And to the wicked, 'Do not lift up the horn;
5Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.5Do not lift up your horn on high, Do not speak with insolent pride.'"
6For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.6For not from the east, nor from the west, Nor from the desert comes exaltation;
7But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.7But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.
8For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.8For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, and the wine foams; It is well mixed, and He pours out of this; Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and drink down its dregs.
9But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.9But as for me, I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.10And all the horns of the wicked He will cut off, But the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.
