| 1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | 1The LORD spoke to Moses: |
| 2Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season. | 2"Command the Israelites: 'With regard to my offering, be sure to offer my food for my offering made by fire, as a pleasing aroma to me at its appointed time.' |
| 3And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. | 3You will say to them, 'This is the offering made by fire which you must offer to the LORD: two unblemished lambs one year old each day for a continual burnt offering. |
| 4The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even; | 4The first lamb you must offer in the morning, and the second lamb you must offer in the late afternoon, |
| 5And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil. | 5with one-tenth of an ephah of finely ground flour as a grain offering mixed with one quarter of a hin of pressed olive oil. |
| 6It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. | 6It is a continual burnt offering that was instituted on Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. |
| 7And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. | 7"'And its drink offering must be one quarter of a hin for each lamb. You must pour out the strong drink as a drink offering to the LORD in the holy place. |
| 8And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. | 8And the second lamb you must offer in the late afternoon; just as you offered the grain offering and drink offering in the morning, you must offer it as an offering made by fire, as a pleasing aroma to the LORD. |
| 9And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: | 9"'On the Sabbath day, you must offer two unblemished lambs a year old, and two-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour as a grain offering, mixed with olive oil, along with its drink offering. |
| 10This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. | 10This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering. |
| 11And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; | 11"'On the first day of each month you must offer as a burnt offering to the LORD two young bulls, one ram, and seven unblemished lambs a year old, |
| 12And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram; | 12with three-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering for each bull, and two-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering for the ram, |
| 13And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. | 13and one-tenth of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering for each lamb, as a burnt offering for a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. |
| 14And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. | 14For their drink offerings, include half a hin of wine with each bull, one-third of a hin for the ram, and one-fourth of a hin for each lamb. This is the burnt offering for each month throughout the months of the year. |
| 15And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. | 15And one male goat must be offered to the LORD as a purification offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering. |
| 16And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. | 16"'On the fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD's Passover. |
| 17And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. | 17And on the fifteenth day of this month is the festival. For seven days bread made without yeast must be eaten. |
| 18In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein: | 18And on the first day there is to be a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work on it. |
| 19But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish: | 19"'But you must offer to the LORD an offering made by fire, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs one year old; they must all be unblemished. |
| 20And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram; | 20And their grain offering is to be of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil. For each bull you must offer three-tenths of an ephah, and two-tenths for the ram. |
| 21A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: | 21For each of the seven lambs you are to offer one-tenth of an ephah, |
| 22And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. | 22as well as one goat for a purification offering, to make atonement for you. |
| 23Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. | 23You must offer these in addition to the burnt offering in the morning which is for a continual burnt offering. |
| 24After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. | 24In this manner you must offer daily throughout the seven days the food of the sacrifice made by fire as a sweet aroma to the LORD. It is to be offered in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering. |
| 25And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work. | 25On the seventh day you are to have a holy assembly, you must do no regular work. |
| 26Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: | 26"'Also, on the day of the first fruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the LORD during your Feast of Weeks, you are to have a holy assembly. You must do no ordinary work. |
| 27But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; | 27But you must offer as the burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the LORD, two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs one year old, |
| 28And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram, | 28with their grain offering of finely ground flour mixed with olive oil: three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths for the one ram, |
| 29A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; | 29with one-tenth for each of the seven lambs, |
| 30And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. | 30as well as one male goat to make an atonement for you. |
| 31Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink offerings. | 31You are to offer them with their drink offerings in addition to the continual burnt offering and its grain offering--they must be unblemished. |
