Song of Solomon 7
KJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNET Bible
How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.1How beautiful are your sandaled feet, O nobleman's daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a master craftsman.
Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.2Your navel is a round mixing bowl--may it never lack mixed wine! Your belly is a mound of wheat, encircled by lilies.
Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.3Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.4Your neck is like a tower made of ivory. Your eyes are the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath-Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon overlooking Damascus.
Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries.5Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. The locks of your hair are like royal tapestries--the king is held captive in its tresses!
How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!6How beautiful you are! How lovely, O love, with your delights!
This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.7Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like clusters of grapes.
I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;8I want to climb the palm tree, and take hold of its fruit stalks. May your breasts be like the clusters of grapes, and may the fragrance of your breath be like apricots!
And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.9May your mouth be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together.
I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.10I am my beloved's, and he desires me!
Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.11Come, my beloved, let us go to the countryside; let us spend the night in the villages.
Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.12Let us rise early to go to the vineyards, to see if the vines have budded, to see if their blossoms have opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom--there I will give you my love.
The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.13The mandrakes send out their fragrance; over our door is every delicacy, both new and old, which I have stored up for you, my lover.
