Psalm 108
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.1My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.2Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.3I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.4For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;5Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.
That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.6Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.7God has promised this by his holiness : “I will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;8Gilead is mine, and Manasseh, too. Ephraim, my helmet, will produce my warriors, and Judah, my scepter, will produce my kings.
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.9But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.”
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom?
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?11Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.12Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
