Psalm 111
KJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew Living Translation
1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.1Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.
2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.2How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them.
3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.3Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.4He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD!
5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.5He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.
6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.6He has shown his great power to his people by giving them the lands of other nations.
7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.7All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are trustworthy.
8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.8They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.9He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.10Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!
