Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD.1Hallelujah! Give praise, servants of the LORD; praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever.2Let the name of the LORD be blessed both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the LORD is to be praised.3From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the LORD be praised.
The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens.4The LORD is exalted above all the nations, his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high,5Who is like the LORD our God--the one enthroned on high,
Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?6who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap,7He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the trash heap
To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people.8in order to seat them with nobles--with the nobles of his people.
He makes the barren woman abide in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!9He gives the childless woman a household, making her the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah!
