Psalm 123
NASB Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995Christian Standard Bible
1A Song of Ascents. To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens!1I lift my eyes to you, the one enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.2Like a servant's eyes on his master's hand, like a servant girl's eyes on her mistress's hand, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until he shows us favor.
3Be gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt.3Show us favor, LORD, show us favor, for we've had more than enough contempt.
4Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.4We've had more than enough scorn from the arrogant and contempt from the proud.
