Psalm 123
NASB Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995NET Bible
1A Song of Ascents. To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens!1A song of ascents. I look up toward you, the one enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.2Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female servant look to the hand of her mistress, so my eyes will look to the LORD, our God, until he shows us favor.
3Be gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt.3Show us favor, O LORD, show us favor! For we have had our fill of humiliation, and then some.
4Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.4We have had our fill of the taunts of the self-assured, of the contempt of the proud.
