Psalm 32
NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
1A Psalm of David. A Maskil. How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!1Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!2Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.3For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.4For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah
5I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.5I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.6Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.
7You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.7You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
9Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you.9Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.
10Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him.10Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD.
11Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
