Leviticus 2
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
'Now when anyone presents a grain offering as an offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour, and he shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it.1"'When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, their offering is to be of the finest flour. They are to pour olive oil on it, put incense on it
He shall then bring it to Aaron's sons the priests; and shall take from it his handful of its fine flour and of its oil with all of its frankincense. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke as its memorial portion on the altar, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.2and take it to Aaron's sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
'The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons: a thing most holy, of the offerings to the LORD by fire.3The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the LORD.
Now when you bring an offering of a grain offering baked in an oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers spread with oil.4"'If you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, it is to consist of the finest flour: either thick loaves made without yeast and with olive oil mixed in or thin loaves made without yeast and brushed with olive oil.
If your offering is a grain offering made on the griddle, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil;5If your grain offering is prepared on a griddle, it is to be made of the finest flour mixed with oil, and without yeast.
you shall break it into bits and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.6Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
Now if your offering is a grain offering made in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.7If your grain offering is cooked in a pan, it is to be made of the finest flour and some olive oil.
'When you bring in the grain offering which is made of these things to the LORD, it shall be presented to the priest and he shall bring it to the altar.8Bring the grain offering made of these things to the LORD; present it to the priest, who shall take it to the altar.
The priest then shall take up from the grain offering its memorial portion, and shall offer it up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.9He shall take out the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
'The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons: a thing most holy of the offerings to the LORD by fire.10The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the LORD.
'No grain offering, which you bring to the LORD, shall be made with leaven, for you shall not offer up in smoke any leaven or any honey as an offering by fire to the LORD.11"'Every grain offering you bring to the LORD must be made without yeast, for you are not to burn any yeast or honey in a food offering presented to the LORD.
'As an offering of first fruits you shall bring them to the LORD, but they shall not ascend for a soothing aroma on the altar.12You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of the firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma.
'Every grain offering of yours, moreover, you shall season with salt, so that the salt of the covenant of your God shall not be lacking from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.13Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.
'Also if you bring a grain offering of early ripened things to the LORD, you shall bring fresh heads of grain roasted in the fire, grits of new growth, for the grain offering of your early ripened things.14"'If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, offer crushed heads of new grain roasted in the fire.
'You shall then put oil on it and lay incense on it; it is a grain offering.15Put oil and incense on it; it is a grain offering.
'The priest shall offer up in smoke its memorial portion, part of its grits and its oil with all its incense as an offering by fire to the LORD.16The priest shall burn the memorial portion of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all the incense, as a food offering presented to the LORD.
