New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.1Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
The LORD loves the gates of Zion More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.3Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
"I shall mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me; Behold, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia: 'This one was born there.'"4"I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush -- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'"
But of Zion it shall be said, "This one and that one were born in her"; And the Most High Himself will establish her.5Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her."
The LORD will count when He registers the peoples, "This one was born there." Selah.6The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion."
Then those who sing as well as those who play the flutes shall say, "All my springs of joy are in you."7As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
