"'When a person presents a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of choice wheat flour, and he must pour olive oil on it and put frankincense on it.1“When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put frankincense on it,
Then he must bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests, and the priest must scoop out from there a handful of its choice wheat flour and some of its olive oil in addition to all of its frankincense, and the priest must offer its memorial portion up in smoke on the altar--it is a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.2and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the frankincense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons--it is most holy from the gifts of the LORD. 3The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
"'When you present an offering of grain baked in an oven, it must be made of choice wheat flour baked into unleavened loaves mixed with olive oil or unleavened wafers smeared with olive oil.4Now if you bring an offering of grain baked in an oven, it must consist of fine flour, either unleavened cakes mixed with oil or unleavened wafers coated with oil.
If your offering is a grain offering made on the griddle, it must be choice wheat flour mixed with olive oil, unleavened.5If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, it must be unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
Crumble it in pieces and pour olive oil on it--it is a grain offering.6Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
If your offering is a grain offering made in a pan, it must be made of choice wheat flour deep fried in olive oil. 7If your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour with oil.
"'You must bring the grain offering that must be made from these to the LORD. Present it to the priest, and he will bring it to the altar.8When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he shall take it to the altar.
Then the priest must take up from the grain offering its memorial portion and offer it up in smoke on the altar--it is a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.9The priest is to remove the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons--it is most holy from the gifts of the LORD. 10But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
"'No grain offering which you present to the LORD can be made with yeast, for you must not offer up in smoke any yeast or honey as a gift to the LORD.11No grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made with leaven, for you are not to burn any leaven or honey as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
You can present them to the LORD as an offering of first fruit, but they must not go up to the altar for a soothing aroma.12You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma.
Moreover, you must season every one of your grain offerings with salt; you must not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be missing from your grain offering--on every one of your grain offerings you must present salt. 13And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
"'If you present a grain offering of first ripe grain to the LORD, you must present your grain offering of first ripe grain as soft kernels roasted in fire--crushed bits of fresh grain.14If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you shall offer crushed heads of new grain roasted on the fire.
And you must put olive oil on it and set frankincense on it--it is a grain offering.15And you are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
Then the priest must offer its memorial portion up in smoke--some of its crushed bits, some of its olive oil, in addition to all of its frankincense--it is a gift to the LORD. 16The priest shall then burn the memorial portion of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all its frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
