Psalm 138
NET Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleEnglish Standard Version
1By David. I will give you thanks with all my heart; before the heavenly assembly I will sing praises to you. 1I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
2I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. 2I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.
3When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. 3On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.
4Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak. 4All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth,
5Let them sing about the LORD's deeds, for the LORD's splendor is magnificent. 5and they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD.
6Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away. 6For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.
7Even when I must walk in the midst of danger, you revive me. You oppose my angry enemies, and your right hand delivers me. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.
8The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made! 8The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
