Psalm 138
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
1By David. I will give you thanks with all my heart; before the heavenly assembly I will sing praises to you. 1Of David. I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; before the "gods" I will sing your praise.
2I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. 2I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.
3When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. 3When I called, you answered me; you greatly emboldened me.
4Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak. 4May all the kings of the earth praise you, LORD, when they hear what you have decreed.
5Let them sing about the LORD's deeds, for the LORD's splendor is magnificent. 5May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.
6Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away. 6Though the LORD is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar.
7Even when I must walk in the midst of danger, you revive me. You oppose my angry enemies, and your right hand delivers me. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me.
8The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made! 8The LORD will vindicate me; your love, LORD, endures forever-- do not abandon the works of your hands.
