NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A song, a psalm of Asaph. O God, do not be silent! Do not ignore us! Do not be inactive, O God! 1A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile. 2For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
They carefully plot against your people, and make plans to harm the ones you cherish. 3They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
They say, "Come on, let's annihilate them so they are no longer a nation! Then the name of Israel will be remembered no more." 4They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more."
Yes, they devise a unified strategy; they form an alliance against you. 5For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant:
It includes the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, 6The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites;
Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre. 7Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Even Assyria has allied with them, lending its strength to the descendants of Lot. (Selah) 8Assyria also has joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.
Do to them as you did to Midian--as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River! 9Deal with them as with Midian, As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
They were destroyed at Endor; their corpses were like manure on the ground. 10Who were destroyed at En-dor, Who became as dung for the ground.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna, 11Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
who said, "Let's take over the pastures of God!" 12Who said, "Let us possess for ourselves The pastures of God."
O my God, make them like dead thistles, like dead weeds blown away by the wind! 13O my God, make them like the whirling dust, Like chaff before the wind.
Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides, 14Like fire that burns the forest And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
chase them with your gale winds, and terrify them with your windstorm. 15So pursue them with Your tempest And terrify them with Your storm.
Cover their faces with shame, so they might seek you, O LORD. 16Fill their faces with dishonor, That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
May they be humiliated and continually terrified! May they die in shame! 17Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever, And let them be humiliated and perish,
Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth. 18That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.
