NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
How beautiful are your sandaled feet, O nobleman's daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a master craftsman. 1"How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince's daughter! The curves of your hips are like jewels, The work of the hands of an artist.
Your navel is a round mixing bowl--may it never lack mixed wine! Your belly is a mound of wheat, encircled by lilies. 2"Your navel is like a round goblet Which never lacks mixed wine; Your belly is like a heap of wheat Fenced about with lilies.
Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle. 3"Your two breasts are like two fawns, Twins of a gazelle.
Your neck is like a tower made of ivory. Your eyes are the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath-Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon overlooking Damascus. 4"Your neck is like a tower of ivory, Your eyes like the pools in Heshbon By the gate of Bath-rabbim; Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon, Which faces toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. The locks of your hair are like royal tapestries--the king is held captive in its tresses! 5"Your head crowns you like Carmel, And the flowing locks of your head are like purple threads; The king is captivated by your tresses.
How beautiful you are! How lovely, O love, with your delights! 6"How beautiful and how delightful you are, My love, with all your charms!
Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like clusters of grapes. 7"Your stature is like a palm tree, And your breasts are like its clusters.
I want to climb the palm tree, and take hold of its fruit stalks. May your breasts be like the clusters of grapes, and may the fragrance of your breath be like apricots! 8"I said, 'I will climb the palm tree, I will take hold of its fruit stalks.' Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, And the fragrance of your breath like apples,
May your mouth be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together. 9And your mouth like the best wine!" "It goes down smoothly for my beloved, Flowing gently through the lips of those who fall asleep.
I am my beloved's, and he desires me! 10"I am my beloved's, And his desire is for me.
Come, my beloved, let us go to the countryside; let us spend the night in the villages. 11"Come, my beloved, let us go out into the country, Let us spend the night in the villages.
Let us rise early to go to the vineyards, to see if the vines have budded, to see if their blossoms have opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom--there I will give you my love. 12"Let us rise early and go to the vineyards; Let us see whether the vine has budded And its blossoms have opened, And whether the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.
The mandrakes send out their fragrance; over our door is every delicacy, both new and old, which I have stored up for you, my lover. 13"The mandrakes have given forth fragrance; And over our doors are all choice fruits, Both new and old, Which I have saved up for you, my beloved.
