Hebrews 3

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.1Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.
He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house.2He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was in all God's household.
Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.3For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.4Now every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.
"Moses was faithful as a servant in all God's house," bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.5Moses was faithful as a servant in all God's household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.6But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.
So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice,7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness,8do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness,
where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did.9where your fathers tested me, tried me, and saw my works
That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.'10for forty years. Therefore I was provoked to anger with that generation and said, "They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways."
So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'"11So I swore in my anger, "They will not enter my rest."
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.12Watch out, brothers and sisters, so that there won't be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.13But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin's deception.
We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.14For we have become participants in Christ if we hold firmly until the end the reality that we had at the start.
As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."15As it is said: Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.
Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?16For who heard and rebelled? Wasn't it all who came out of Egypt under Moses?
And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness?17With whom was God angry for forty years? Wasn't it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?18And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, if not to those who disobeyed?
So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.19So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.
