Psalm 120
NIV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionInternational Standard Version
1A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.1I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me.
2Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.2"LORD, deliver me from lips that lie and tongues that deceive."
3What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?3What will be given to you, and what will be done to you, you treacherous tongue?
4He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.4Like a sharp arrow from a warrior, along with fiery coals from juniper trees!
5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!5How terrible for me, that I am an alien in Meshech, that I reside among the tents of Kedar!
6Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.6I have resided too long with those who hate peace.
7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they are in favor of war.
