Psalm 33
NIV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionInternational Standard Version
Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.1Rejoice in the LORD, righteous ones; for the praise of the upright is beautiful.
Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.2With the lyre, give thanks to the LORD; with the ten stringed harp, play music to him;
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.3with a new song, sing to him; with shouts of joy, play skillfully.
For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all his works are done in faithfulness.
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.5He loves righteousness and justice; the world is filled with the gracious love of the LORD.
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.6By the word of the LORD the heavens were made; all the heavenly bodies by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.7He gathered the oceans into a single place; he put the deep water into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him.8Let all the world fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him;
For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.9because he spoke and it came to be, because he commanded, it stood firm.
The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.10The LORD makes void the counsel of nations; he frustrates the plans of peoples.
But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.11But the LORD's counsel stands firm forever, the plans in his mind for all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.12How blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he has chosen as his own inheritance.
From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind;13When the LORD looks down from heaven, he observes every human being.
from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth--14From his dwelling place, he looks down on all the inhabitants of the earth.
he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.15He formed the hearts of them all; he understands everything they do.
No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.16A king is not saved by a large army; a mighty soldier is not delivered by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.17It is vain to trust in a horse for deliverance, even with its great strength, it cannot deliver.
But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,18Indeed, the LORD watches those who fear him; those who trust in his gracious love
to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.19to deliver them from death; to keep them alive in times of famine.
We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.20We wait on the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.21Indeed, our heart will rejoice in him, because we have placed our trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.22LORD, may your gracious love be upon us, even as we hope in you.
