| 1A psalm of Asaph. God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the "gods": | 1A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers. |
| 2"How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? | 2How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah. |
| 3Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. | 3Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. |
| 4Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. | 4Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. |
