“You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide—the altar shall be square—and its height shall be three cubits.1“You are to build an altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high.
You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it. And you shall overlay it with bronze.2Make a horn on each of its four corners, so that the horns are of one piece, and overlay it with bronze.
Also you shall make its pans to receive its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; you shall make all its utensils of bronze.3Make all its utensils of bronze—its pots for removing ashes, its shovels, its sprinkling bowls, its meat forks, and its firepans.
You shall make a grate for it, a network of bronze; and on the network you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.4Construct for it a grate of bronze mesh, and make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the mesh.
You shall put it under the rim of the altar beneath, that the network may be midway up the altar.5Set the grate beneath the ledge of the altar, so that the mesh comes halfway up the altar.
And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.6Additionally, make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze.
The poles shall be put in the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar to bear it.7The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on two sides of the altar when it is carried.
You shall make it hollow with boards; as it was shown you on the mountain, so shall they make it.8Construct the altar with boards so that it is hollow. It is to be made just as you were shown on the mountain.
“You shall also make the court of the tabernacle. For the south side there shall be hangings for the court made of fine woven linen, one hundred cubits long for one side.9You are also to make a courtyard for the tabernacle. On the south side of the courtyard make curtains of finely spun linen, a hundred cubits long on one side,
And its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets shall be bronze. The hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be silver.10with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and silver hooks and bands on the posts.
Likewise along the length of the north side there shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, with its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of bronze, and the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.11Likewise there are to be curtains on the north side, a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.
“And along the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits, with their ten pillars and their ten sockets.12The curtains on the west side of the courtyard shall be fifty cubits wide, with ten posts and ten bases.
The width of the court on the east side shall be fifty cubits.13The east side of the courtyard, toward the sunrise, is to be fifty cubits wide.
The hangings on one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three sockets.14Make the curtains on one side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases,
And on the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three sockets.15and the curtains on the other side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.
“For the gate of the court there shall be a screen twenty cubits long, woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver. It shall have four pillars and four sockets.16The gate of the courtyard shall be twenty cubits long, with a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It shall have four posts and four bases.
All the pillars around the court shall have bands of silver; their hooks shall be of silver and their sockets of bronze.17All the posts around the courtyard shall have silver bands, silver hooks, and bronze bases.
The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, the width fifty throughout, and the height five cubits, made of fine woven linen, and its sockets of bronze.18The entire courtyard shall be a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide, with curtains of finely spun linen five cubits high, and with bronze bases.
All the utensils of the tabernacle for all its service, all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.19All the utensils of the tabernacle for every use, including all its tent pegs and the tent pegs of the courtyard, shall be made of bronze.
“And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.20And you are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.
In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.21In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites for the generations to come.
