NKJV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionBerean Study Bible
To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. On an eight-stringed harp. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.1For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments, according to Sheminith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath.
Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.2Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am frail; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are in agony.
My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD—how long?3My soul is deeply distressed. How long, O LORD, how long?
Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!4Turn, O LORD, and deliver my soul; save me because of Your loving devotion.
For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?5For there is no mention of You in death; who can praise You from Sheol?
I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.6I am weary from groaning; all night I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies.7My eyes fail from grief; they grow dim because of all my foes.
Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.8Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.9The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.10All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
