1To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. On an eight-stringed harp. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.1לַמְנַצֵּ֣חַ בִּ֭נְגִינוֹת עַֽל־ הַשְּׁמִינִ֗ית מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ יְֽהוָ֗ה אַל־ בְּאַפְּךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וְֽאַל־ בַּחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃
2Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.2חָנֵּ֥נִי יְהוָה֮ כִּ֤י אֻמְלַ֫ל אָ֥נִי רְפָאֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֖י נִבְהֲל֣וּ עֲצָמָֽי׃
3My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD—how long?3וְ֭נַפְשִׁי נִבְהֲלָ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד [ואת] (וְאַתָּ֥ה) יְ֝הוָ֗ה עַד־ מָתָֽי׃
4Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!4שׁוּבָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה חַלְּצָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י ה֝וֹשִׁיעֵ֗נִי לְמַ֣עַן חַסְדֶּֽךָ׃
5For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?5כִּ֤י אֵ֣ין בַּמָּ֣וֶת זִכְרֶ֑ךָ בִּ֝שְׁא֗וֹל מִ֣י יֽוֹדֶה־ לָּֽךְ׃
6I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.6יָגַ֤עְתִּי ׀ בְּֽאַנְחָתִ֗י אַשְׂחֶ֣ה בְכָל־ לַ֭יְלָה מִטָּתִ֑י בְּ֝דִמְעָתִ֗י עַרְשִׂ֥י אַמְסֶֽה׃
7My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies.7עָֽשְׁשָׁ֣ה מִכַּ֣עַס עֵינִ֑י עָֽ֝תְקָ֗ה בְּכָל־ צוֹרְרָֽי׃
8Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.8ס֣וּרוּ מִ֭מֶּנִּי כָּל־ פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן כִּֽי־ שָׁמַ֥ע יְ֝הוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל בִּכְיִֽי׃
9The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.9שָׁמַ֣ע יְ֭הוָה תְּחִנָּתִ֑י יְ֝הוָ֗ה תְּֽפִלָּתִ֥י יִקָּֽח׃
10Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.10יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ ׀ וְיִבָּהֲל֣וּ מְ֭אֹד כָּל־ אֹיְבָ֑י יָ֝שֻׁ֗בוּ יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ רָֽגַע׃
