Psalm 6
NKJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
1To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. On an eight-stringed harp. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.1LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger; do not discipline me in your wrath.
2Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.2Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am weak; heal me, LORD, for my bones are shaking;
3My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD—how long?3my whole being is shaken with terror. And you, LORD--how long?
4Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake!4Turn, LORD! Rescue me; save me because of your faithful love.
5For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?5For there is no remembrance of you in death; who can thank you in Sheol?
6I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.6I am weary from my groaning; with my tears I dampen my bed and drench my couch every night.
7My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies.7My eyes are swollen from grief; they grow old because of all my enemies.
8Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.8Depart from me, all evildoers, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
9The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.9The LORD has heard my plea for help; the LORD accepts my prayer.
10Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.10All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror; they will turn back and suddenly be disgraced.
