Psalm 126
NKJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
1A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.1When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”2Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
3The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.3The LORD had done great things for us; we were joyful.
4Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.4Restore our fortunes, LORD, like watercourses in the Negev.
5Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.5Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
6He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.6Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves.
