Psalm 126
NKJV Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionInternational Standard Version
1A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.1When the LORD brought back Zion's exiles, we were like dreamers.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”2Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues formed joyful shouts. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
3The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.3The great things that the LORD has done for us gladden us.
4Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.4Restore our exiles, LORD, like the streams of the Negev.
5Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.5Those who weep while they plant will sing for joy while they harvest.
6He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.6The one who goes out weeping, carrying a bag of seeds, will surely return with a joyful song, bearing sheaves from his harvest.
