Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.1Then the LORD said to Noah, "Enter the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before Me in this generation.
You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female;2You are to take with you seven pairs, a male and its female, of all the clean animals, and two of the animals that are not clean, a male and its female,
also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth.3and seven pairs, male and female, of the birds of the sky--in order to keep offspring alive on the face of the whole earth.
For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.”4Seven days from now I will make it rain on the earth 40 days and 40 nights, and I will wipe off from the face of the earth every living thing I have made."
And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.5And Noah did everything that the LORD commanded him.
Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.6Noah was 600 years old when the flood came and water covered the earth.
So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.7So Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives entered the ark because of the waters of the flood.
Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds, and of everything that creeps on the earth,8From the clean animals, unclean animals, birds, and every creature that crawls on the ground,
two by two they went into the ark to Noah, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.9two of each, male and female, entered the ark with Noah, just as God had commanded him.
And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.10Seven days later the waters of the flood came on the earth.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the sources of the watery depths burst open, the floodgates of the sky were opened,
And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.12and the rain fell on the earth 40 days and 40 nights.
On the very same day Noah and Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark—13On that same day Noah along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah's wife, and his three sons' wives entered the ark with him.
they and every beast after its kind, all cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.14They entered it with all the wildlife according to their kinds, all livestock according to their kinds, the creatures that crawl on the earth according to their kinds, all birds, every fowl, and everything with wings according to their kinds.
And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life.15Two of all flesh that has the breath of life in it entered the ark with Noah.
So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.16Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered just as God had commanded him. Then the LORD shut him in.
Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.17The flood continued for 40 days on the earth; the waters increased and lifted up the ark so that it rose above the earth.
The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters.18The waters surged and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.19Then the waters surged even higher on the earth, and all the high mountains under the whole sky were covered.
The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.20The mountains were covered as the waters surged above them more than 20 feet.
And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.21Every creature perished--those that crawl on the earth, birds, livestock, wildlife, and those that swarm on the earth, as well as all mankind.
All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.22Everything with the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils--everything on dry land died.
So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.23He wiped out every living thing that was on the surface of the ground, from mankind to livestock, to creatures that crawl, to the birds of the sky, and they were wiped off the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.
And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.24And the waters surged on the earth 150 days.
