Psalm 63
NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
1A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.1A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
2So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.2I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.3Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
4Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.4I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.5I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.6On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
7Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.7Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.8I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
9But those who seek my life, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the earth.9Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10They shall fall by the sword; They shall be a portion for jackals.10They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.
11But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.11But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
