Psalm 62
NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.1For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.2Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.3How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly. Selah4Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.5Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.6Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.7My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor.9Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.10Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.11One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.12and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."
