Psalm 62
NKJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionEnglish Standard Version
To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.1For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.3How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly. Selah4They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.5For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.6He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.7On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah8Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor.9Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.10Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.11Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.12and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
