Psalm 63
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
1A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.1O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.
2So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.2I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory.
3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.3Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!
4Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.4I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.5You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.
6When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.6I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night.
7Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.7Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
8My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.8I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.
9But those who seek my life, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the earth.9But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin. They will go down into the depths of the earth.
10They shall fall by the sword; They shall be a portion for jackals.10They will die by the sword and become the food of jackals.
11But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.11But the king will rejoice in God. All who swear to tell the truth will praise him, while liars will be silenced.
