Psalm 122
NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
1I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”1A song of ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
2And now here we are, standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem.2Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.
3Jerusalem is a well-built city; its seamless walls cannot be breached.3Jerusalem is built up as a city united together,
4All the tribes of Israel—the LORD’s people— make their pilgrimage here. They come to give thanks to the name of the LORD, as the law requires of Israel.4where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5Here stand the thrones where judgment is given, the thrones of the dynasty of David.5For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper.
7O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.7May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”
8For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “May you have peace.”8For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.
