Psalm 122
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
1I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”1A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2And now here we are, standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem.2Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3Jerusalem is a well-built city; its seamless walls cannot be breached.3Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4All the tribes of Israel—the LORD’s people— make their pilgrimage here. They come to give thanks to the name of the LORD, as the law requires of Israel.4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5Here stand the thrones where judgment is given, the thrones of the dynasty of David.5For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces.7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “May you have peace.”8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.9Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
