Psalm 143
NLT Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationChristian Standard Bible
Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.1LORD, hear my prayer. In your faithfulness listen to my plea, and in your righteousness answer me.
Don’t put your servant on trial, for no one is innocent before you.2Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous in your sight.
My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave.3For the enemy has pursued me, crushing me to the ground, making me live in darkness like those long dead.
I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear.4My spirit is weak within me; my heart is overcome with dismay.
I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all you have done; I reflect on the work of your hands.
I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude6I spread out my hands to you; I am like parched land before you. Selah
Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.7Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Don't hide your face from me, or I will be like those going down to the Pit.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.8Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you. Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.
Rescue me from my enemies, LORD; I run to you to hide me.9Rescue me from my enemies, LORD; I come to you for protection.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.10Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.
For the glory of your name, O LORD, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress.11For your name's sake, LORD, let me live. In your righteousness deliver me from trouble,
In your unfailing love, silence all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.12and in your faithful love destroy my enemies. Wipe out all those who attack me, for I am your servant.
