| 3You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger. | 3You withdrew all your fury; you turned from your burning anger. |
| 4Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more. | 4Return to us, God of our salvation, and abandon your displeasure with us. |
| 5Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations? | 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger for all generations? |
