| 3You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger. | 3You withdrew all your wrath and turned away from your burning anger. |
| 4Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more. | 4Restore us, God of our salvation, and stop being angry with us. |
| 5Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations? | 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger from generation to generation? |
