New Living TranslationInternational Standard Version
The LORD said to Moses,1The LORD told Moses,
“Give these instructions to the people of Israel: The offerings you present as special gifts are a pleasing aroma to me; they are my food. See to it that they are brought at the appointed times and offered according to my instructions.2"You are to command the Israelis about my offerings that they are to be sure to bring edible offerings to me, presented by fire, and a pleasing aroma to me, at their appointed time.
“Say to the people: This is the special gift you must present to the LORD as your daily burnt offering. You must offer two one-year-old male lambs with no defects.3Tell them that this is the offering, presented by fire, that you are to offer to the LORD: two one year old lambs, offered daily every day.
Sacrifice one lamb in the morning and the other in the evening.4Offer the first lamb in the morning and the second toward the evening,
With each lamb you must offer a grain offering of two quarts of choice flour mixed with one quart of pure oil of pressed olives.5accompanied by one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for grain offering, mixed with one fourth of a hin of pure olive oil.
This is the regular burnt offering instituted at Mount Sinai as a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.6This burnt offering, which was prescribed at Mount Sinai, is to be offered every day as a pleasing aroma made by fire to the LORD.
Along with it you must present the proper liquid offering of one quart of alcoholic drink with each lamb, poured out in the Holy Place as an offering to the LORD.7"The drink offering is to be one fourth of a hin for each lamb. You are to pour out a drink offering of strong wine to the LORD in the Holy Place.
Offer the second lamb in the evening with the same grain offering and liquid offering. It, too, is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. The Sabbath Offerings8You are also to offer the second lamb toward the evening. Just like the morning sacrifice, you are to present the grain offering, accompanied by its corresponding drink offering, as a presentation made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD."
“On the Sabbath day, sacrifice two one-year-old male lambs with no defects. They must be accompanied by a grain offering of four quarts of choice flour moistened with olive oil, and a liquid offering.9"Every Sabbath day, you are to offer two one year old lambs without any defects with two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for grain offering, mixed with olive oil, along with their corresponding drink offering.
This is the burnt offering to be presented each Sabbath day, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its accompanying liquid offering. The Monthly Offerings10This burnt offering is to be presented every Sabbath, as well as the regular burnt offering, along with its corresponding drink offering."
“On the first day of each month, present an extra burnt offering to the LORD of two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs, all with no defects.11"On the first day of each month, you are to offer a burnt offering to the LORD consisting of two young bulls, one ram, and seven one year old lambs, all of them without any defects,
These must be accompanied by grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil—six quarts with each bull, four quarts with the ram,12along with three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with olive oil, for each bull, two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with olive oil, for the one ram,
and two quarts with each lamb. This burnt offering will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.13and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering for each lamb. This burnt offering will be a pleasing aroma, incinerated as an offering to the LORD.
You must also present a liquid offering with each sacrifice: two quarts of wine for each bull, a third of a gallon for the ram, and one quart for each lamb. Present this monthly burnt offering on the first day of each month throughout the year.14Their drink offerings are to be half a hin of wine for each bull, one third of a hin for the ram, and one fourth of a hin for each lamb. This burnt offering is to be presented each and every month throughout the year.
“On the first day of each month, you must also offer one male goat for a sin offering to the LORD. This is in addition to the regular burnt offering and its accompanying liquid offering. Offerings for the Passover15One goat is to be offered at regular intervals as a sin offering to the LORD, accompanied by its corresponding drink offering."
“On the fourteenth day of the first month, you must celebrate the LORD’s Passover.16"The LORD's Passover is to take place on the fourteenth day of the first month.
On the following day—the fifteenth day of the month—a joyous, seven-day festival will begin, but no bread made with yeast may be eaten.17You are to hold a festival on the fifteenth day of this month for seven days, during which time unleavened bread is to be eaten."
The first day of the festival will be an official day for holy assembly, and no ordinary work may be done on that day.18"On the first day, you are to hold a sacred assembly. No servile work is to be done.
As a special gift you must present a burnt offering to the LORD—two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs, all with no defects.19Bring an offering that is to be incinerated in the LORD's presence, consisting of two young bulls, a ram, and seven one year old lambs, all without any defects,
These will be accompanied by grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil—six quarts with each bull, four quarts with the ram,20along with their grain offering of fine flour mixed with olive oil. Offer three tenths of an ephah for each bull, two tenths of an ephah for the ram,
and two quarts with each of the seven lambs.21and one tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs.
You must also offer a male goat as a sin offering to purify yourselves and make yourselves right with the LORD.22Then present one goat for a sin offering to make atonement for you,
Present these offerings in addition to your regular morning burnt offering.23apart from the burnt offering in the morning, which you are to continue offering.
On each of the seven days of the festival, this is how you must prepare the food offering that is presented as a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. These will be offered in addition to the regular burnt offerings and liquid offerings.24Do this every day for seven days, as an edible sacrifice to the LORD made by fire, a pleasing aroma. It is to be offered apart from the regular burnt offering and its corresponding drink offering.
The seventh day of the festival will be another official day for holy assembly, and no ordinary work may be done on that day. Offerings for the Festival of Harvest25On the seventh day you are to hold another sacred assembly for your benefit, on which no servile work is to be done."
“At the Festival of Harvest, when you present the first of your new grain to the LORD, you must call an official day for holy assembly, and you may do no ordinary work on that day.26"On the first day of your harvest season, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present your first fruits during the Festival of Weeks. No servile work is to be done.
Present a special burnt offering on that day as a pleasing aroma to the LORD. It will consist of two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs.27You are to offer this burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven one year old lambs,
These will be accompanied by grain offerings of choice flour moistened with olive oil—six quarts with each bull, four quarts with the ram,28along with their corresponding grain offerings of fine flour mixed with olive oil; specifically, three tenths of an ephah for each bull, two tenths of an ephah for the one ram,
and two quarts with each of the seven lambs.29one tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs,
Also, offer one male goat to purify yourselves and make yourselves right with the LORD.30and one goat to make atonement for you.
Prepare these special burnt offerings, along with their liquid offerings, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its accompanying grain offering. Be sure that all the animals you sacrifice have no defects.31Offer them in addition to the regular burnt offering, accompanied by its grain offering and its corresponding drink offerings."
