New Living TranslationInternational Standard Version
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his gracious love is eternal.
Let all Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”2Let Israel now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”3Let the house of Aaron now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
Let all who fear the LORD repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”4Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and set me free.5I called on the LORD in my distress; the LORD answered me openly.
The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?6The LORD is with me. I will not be afraid. What can people do to me?
Yes, the LORD is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me.7With the LORD beside me as my helper, I will triumph over those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people.8It is better to take shelter in the LORD than to trust in people.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.9It is better to take shelter in the LORD than to trust in princes.
Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.10All the nations surrounded me; but in the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.11They surrounded me, they are around me; but in the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a crackling fire. But I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.12They surrounded me like bees; but they will be extinguished like burning thorns. In the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
My enemies did their best to kill me, but the LORD rescued me.13Indeed, you oppressed me so much that I nearly fell, but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.14The LORD is my strength and protector, for he has become my deliverer.
Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!15There's exultation for deliverance in the tents of the righteous: "The right hand of the LORD is victorious!
The strong right arm of the LORD is raised in triumph. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!16The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD is victorious!"
I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the LORD has done.17I will not die, but I will live to recount the deeds of the LORD.
The LORD has punished me severely, but he did not let me die.18The LORD will discipline me severely, but he won't hand me over to die.
Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the LORD.19Open for me the righteous gates so I may enter through them to give thanks to the LORD.
These gates lead to the presence of the LORD, and the godly enter there.20This is the LORD's gate— The righteous will enter through it.
I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!21I will praise you because you have answered me and have become my deliverer.
The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.22The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
This is the LORD’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.23This is from the LORD— it is awesome in our sight.
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.24This is the day that the LORD has made; let's rejoice and be glad in it.
Please, LORD, please save us. Please, LORD, please give us success.25Please LORD, deliver us! Please LORD, hurry and bring success now!
Bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD. We bless you from the house of the LORD.26Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Let us bless you from the LORD's house.
The LORD is God, shining upon us. Take the sacrifice and bind it with cords on the altar.27The LORD is God—he will be our light! Bind the festival sacrifice with ropes to the horn at the altar.
You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you!28You are my God, and I will praise you; my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.29Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good and his gracious love is eternal.
