Psalm 34
NLT Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationInternational Standard Version
I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.1I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise will be in my mouth continuously.
I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart.2My soul will glorify the LORD; the humble will hear about it and rejoice.
Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.3Magnify the LORD with me! Let us lift up his name together!
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.4I sought the LORD and he answered me; he delivered me from all of my fears.
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.5Look to him and be radiant; and you will not be ashamed.
In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles.6This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard and delivered him from all of his distress.
For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.7The angel of the LORD surrounds those who fear him, and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!8Taste and see that the LORD is good! How blessed is the person who trusts in him!
Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.9Fear the LORD, you holy ones of his; for those who fear him lack nothing.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.10Young lions lack and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD will never lack any good thing.
Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD.11Come, children, listen to me, and I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous?12Who among you desires life, and wants long life in order to see good?
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!13Then keep your tongue from doing evil and your lips from spreading lies.
Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.14Avoid evil and do good! Seek peace and pursue it!
The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.15The LORD looks on the righteous, and he listens to their cries.
But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.16The face of the LORD is set against those who do evil, and he will remove people's recollection of them from the earth.
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.17The LORD hears those who cry out, and he delivers them from all their distress.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.18The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and he delivers those whose spirit has been crushed.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.19A righteous person will have many troubles, but the LORD will deliver him from them all.
For the LORD protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!20God protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken.
Calamity will surely destroy the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished.21Evil will kill the wicked; those who hate the righteous will be held guilty.
But the LORD will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.22The LORD redeems the lives of his servants; and none of those who trust in him will be held guilty.
