Psalm 54
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
1Come with great power, O God, and rescue me! Defend me with your might.1For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Maskil of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, "Is not David hiding himself among us?" Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your power.
2Listen to my prayer, O God. Pay attention to my plea.2Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.
3For strangers are attacking me; violent people are trying to kill me. They care nothing for God. Interlude3For strangers have risen against me And violent men have sought my life; They have not set God before them. Selah.
4But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!4Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.
5May the evil plans of my enemies be turned against them. Do as you promised and put an end to them.5He will recompense the evil to my foes; Destroy them in Your faithfulness.
6I will sacrifice a voluntary offering to you; I will praise your name, O LORD, for it is good.6Willingly I will sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good.
7For you have rescued me from my troubles and helped me to triumph over my enemies.7For He has delivered me from all trouble, And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.
