Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved fellow worker, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved fellow worker Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved brother and fellow worker, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker—
to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets at your house: and Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier, and the church in your house: And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house: also to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier—and to the church that meets in your home:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I always thank my God, remembering you in my prayers, I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers,
because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.
I pray that your partnership in the faith may become effective as you fully acknowledge every good thing that is ours in Christ. and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ. That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for the sake of Christ. I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.
I take great joy and encouragement in your love, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints. For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you. For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. For I have had great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.
So although in Christ I am bold enough to order you to do what is proper, Accordingly, though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do what is required, Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient, Therefore, though I have enough confidence in Christ to order you to do what is proper, Therefore, although in Christ I could be bold and order you to do what you ought to do,
I prefer to appeal on the basis of love. For I, Paul, am now aged, and a prisoner of Christ Jesus as well. yet for love’s sake I prefer to appeal to you—I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus— Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you—since I am such a person as Paul, an old man, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus— yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love. It is as none other than Paul—an old man and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus—
I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whose father I became while I was in chains. I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I became in my imprisonment. I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I fathered in my imprisonment, that I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains.
Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me. (Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.) Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: who previously was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me. Formerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me.
I am sending back to you him who is my very heart. I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart. Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart, I am sending him—who is my very heart—back to you.
I would have liked to keep him with me, so that on your behalf he could minister to me in my chains for the gospel. I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel, Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: whom I wanted to keep with me, so that in your behalf he might be at my service in my imprisonment for the gospel; I would have liked to keep him with me so that he could take your place in helping me while I am in chains for the gospel.
But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness will not be out of compulsion, but by your own free will. but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord. But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. but I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness would not be, in effect, by compulsion, but of your own free will. But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that any favor you do would not seem forced but would be voluntary.
For perhaps this is why he was separated from you for a while, so that you might have him back for good— For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; For perhaps it was for this reason that he was separated from you for a while, that you would have him back forever, Perhaps the reason he was separated from you for a little while was that you might have him back forever—
no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a beloved brother. He is especially beloved to me, but even more so to you, both in person and in the Lord. no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord.
So if you consider me a partner, receive him as you would receive me. So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me. If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. If then you regard me as a partner, accept him as you would me. So if you consider me a partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.
But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge it to my account. If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account; If he has done you any wrong or owes you anything, charge it to me.
I, Paul, write this with my own hand. I will repay it— not to mention that you owe me your very self. I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self. I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides. I, Paul, have written this with my own hand, I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self as well). I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand. I will pay it back—not to mention that you owe me your very self.
Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ. Yes, brother, I want some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ. Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord. Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ. I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.
Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I ask. Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, since I know that you will do even more than what I say. Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I ask.
In the meantime, prepare a guest room for me, because I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you. At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you. But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. At the same time also prepare me a guest room, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given to you. And one thing more: Prepare a guest room for me, because I hope to be restored to you in answer to your prayers.
Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings, Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends greetings to you, There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus; Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings.
as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers. and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers. Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers. as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers. And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my fellow workers.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
