1Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous; befitting is the praise of the upright. 1רַנְּנ֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה לַ֝יְשָׁרִ֗ים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃
2Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings. 2הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה בְּכִנּ֑וֹר בְּנֵ֥בֶל עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר זַמְּרוּ־ לֽוֹ׃
3Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. 3שִֽׁירוּ־ ל֭וֹ שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ הֵיטִ֥יבוּ נַ֝גֵּ֗ן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃
4For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy. 4כִּֽי־ יָשָׁ֥ר דְּבַר־ יְהוָ֑ה וְכָל־ מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗הוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃
5[The LORD] loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of [His] loving devotion. 5אֹ֭הֵב צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט חֶ֥סֶד יְ֝הוָ֗ה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃
6By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth. 6בִּדְבַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה שָׁמַ֣יִם נַעֲשׂ֑וּ וּבְר֥וּחַ פִּ֝֗יו כָּל־ צְבָאָֽם׃
7He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses. 7כֹּנֵ֣ס כַּ֭נֵּד מֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם נֹתֵ֖ן בְּאֹצָר֣וֹת תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him. 8יִֽירְא֣וּ מֵ֭יְהוָה כָּל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמֶּ֥נּוּ יָ֝ג֗וּרוּ כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃
9For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood fast. 9כִּ֤י ה֣וּא אָמַ֣ר וַיֶּ֑הִי הֽוּא־ צִ֝וָּ֗ה וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃
10The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples. 10יְֽהוָ֗ה הֵפִ֥יר עֲצַת־ גּוֹיִ֑ם הֵ֝נִ֗יא מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת עַמִּֽים׃
11The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations. 11עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תַּעֲמֹ֑ד מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת לִ֝בּ֗וֹ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃
12Blessed [is] the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance! 12אַשְׁרֵ֣י הַ֭גּוֹי אֲשֶׁר־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו הָעָ֓ם ׀ בָּחַ֖ר לְנַחֲלָ֣ה לֽוֹ׃
13The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. 13מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִבִּ֣יט יְהוָ֑ה רָ֝אָ֗ה אֶֽת־ כָּל־ בְּנֵ֥י הָאָדָֽם׃
14From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth. 14מִֽמְּכוֹן־ שִׁבְתּ֥וֹ הִשְׁגִּ֑יחַ אֶ֖ל כָּל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָֽרֶץ׃
15He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works. 15הַיֹּצֵ֣ר יַ֣חַד לִבָּ֑ם הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין אֶל־ כָּל־ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃
16No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength. 16אֵֽין־ הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁ֣ע בְּרָב־ חָ֑יִל גִּ֝בּ֗וֹר לֹֽא־ יִנָּצֵ֥ל בְּרָב־ כֹּֽחַ׃
17A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save. 17שֶׁ֣קֶר הַ֭סּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה וּבְרֹ֥ב חֵ֝יל֗וֹ לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּֽט׃
18Surely the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion 18הִנֵּ֤ה עֵ֣ין יְ֭הוָה אֶל־ יְרֵאָ֑יו לַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃
19to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. 19לְהַצִּ֣יל מִמָּ֣וֶת נַפְשָׁ֑ם וּ֝לְחַיּוֹתָ֗ם בָּרָעָֽב׃
20Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. 20נַ֭פְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָ֣ה לַֽיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרֵ֖נוּ וּמָגִנֵּ֣נוּ הֽוּא׃
21For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name. 21כִּי־ ב֭וֹ יִשְׂמַ֣ח לִבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י בְשֵׁ֖ם קָדְשׁ֣וֹ בָטָֽחְנוּ׃
22May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, as we put our hope in You. 22יְהִֽי־ חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר יִחַ֥לְנוּ לָֽךְ׃
