Waiting on God 1For the one directing. According to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. 1 Only toward God is my soul silent; 2Only He is my Rock and my salvation, My tower; 3Until when will you⁺ plot against a man? You⁺ are destroyed, all of you⁺, like a wall leaning, 4Surely from his high position they take counsel to thrust him down; they delight in lies— with their mouth they bless, and in their inner parts they curse. 5Only for God be silent, O my soul, 6Only He is my Rock and my salvation, my secure height; I will not be shaken. 7In God is my salvation and my glory, the Rock of my strength; 8Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your⁺ heart before Him; God is is a refuge for us. 9Only a vapor are the sons of a man, a lie the sons of a man— on the scales they go up 10You should⁺ not trust in oppression, and do not be vain in robbery; on wealth when it increases you⁺ should not set the heart. 11Once God has spoken; twice I have heard this, 12and unto You, O Lord, is loving devotion. For You do recompense to each man according to his work.† Footnotes: 12 Cited in Romans 2:6 Berean Literal Bible This is the first draft of the Berean Literal Bible.
