Tried but Trusting 1A Prayer of David. 1 Incline Your ear, O YHWH; answer me, for I am afflicted and in need. 2May You guard my life, for am I faithful; may You save Your servant—the one trusting in You—You my God. 3Show favor to me, O Lord, for to You I call out all the day. 4Make glad the soul of Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 5For You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, and abundant in in loving devotion to all those calling on You. 6Give ear, O YHWH, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my pleas. 7In the day of my distress I call on you, 8None like You is among the gods, O Lord, 9All the nations whom You have made shall come and bow down before Your face, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name. 10For You are great, and the One doing wonders; 11Instruct me, O YHWH, in Your way, and I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart 12I will confess You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. 13For Your loving devotion is great toward me. And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. 14O God, arrogant ones have risen against me, and a gathering of ruthless ones have sought my life; and they do not set You before them. 15But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in in loving devotion and faithfulness. 16Turn to me and show favor to me; give Your strength to Your servant, and give salvation to the son of Your maidservant. 17Make with me a sign for good, and those hating me will see it and be put to shame! For You, YHWH, have helped me and comforted me! Footnotes: Berean Literal Bible This is the first draft of the Berean Literal Bible.
