Jeremiah 38:26
Good News Translation
Just tell them you were begging me not to send you back to prison to die there."

then you shall say to them, ‘I was presenting my plea to the king not to send me back to the house of Jonathan to die there.’”

So if they question you, tell them you were begging me not to send you back to the prison at Jonathan's house, because going back there would kill you."
