Jeremiah 38:25
Good News Translation
If the officials hear that I have talked with you, they will come and ask you what we said. They will promise not to put you to death if you tell them everything.

New Revised Standard Version
If the officials should hear that I have spoken with you, and they should come and say to you, ‘Just tell us what you said to the king; do not conceal it from us, or we will put you to death. What did the king say to you?’

Contemporary English Version
And I'm sure that if my officials hear about our meeting, they will ask you what we said to each other. They might even threaten to kill you if you don't tell them.
