15Neither shalt thou stand in the crossways to kill them that flee: and thou shalt not shut up them that remain of him in the day of tribulation.16For the day of the Lord is at hand upon all nations: as thou hast done, so shall it be done to thee: he will turn thy reward upon thy own head.…
Times are not hid from the Almighty: but they that know him, know not his days.
Declare to many against Babylon, to all that bend the bow: stand together against her round about, and let none escape; pay her according to her work: according to all that she hath done, do ye to her: for she hath lifted up herself against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.
Because the spoiler is come upon her, that is, upon Babylon, and her valiant men are taken, and their bow is weakened, because the Lord, who is a strong revenger, will surely repay.
For the day is near, yea the day of the Lord is near: a cloudy day, it shall be the time of the nations.
Therefore as I live, saith the Lord God, I will do according to thy wrath, and according to thy envy, which thou hast exercised in hatred to them: and I will be made known by them, when I shall have judged thee.

Woe to them that desire the day of the Lord: to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light: and obscurity, and no brightness in it?
